Date Night: Parents Night-Out Fundraiser

In support of St. Albert Day Care Society and its Fall / Winter programming

Do you need a night out?
St. Albert Day Care Society is hosting a fundraising evening on Friday September 27, 2019. You can drop your children off at the centre, starting at 6:00 pm, and we will supervise them while you enjoy an evening off! We plan to serve dinner, watch a movie, and have fun activities for the children to enjoy all for $35 per child.

This event is open to all current families / children enrolled with St. Albert Day Care Society, as well as non-members in the community.

Edmonton Comedy Festival presents the Cabaret Series
Saturday, October 19th at 8:00pm 
at the Varscona Hotel on the Production World Stage
Ticket price: $25 each

Comedians tell us every year that the Varscona Hotel is their favorite venue so we brought it back. The Cabaret Series has a more casual feel to it with the audience up close and personal. We pack the room with local charity and not-for-profit groups looking to raise money for their organizations and then deliver a great comedy show. This one features Las Vegas comedian Shayma Tash with Nashville’s Dusty Slay and L.A.’s DJ Demers hosted by Calgary’s Dave Nystrom.

We have Booster Juice Vouchers!


Help support SADCS and its programming, while enjoying a smoothie at a delicious discounted price!

Vouchers are accepted across Canada and have no expiry date. They can be used towards the purchase of any regular size smoothie at participating Booster Juice locations. They are available to purchase for $5.50 per voucher.

You can purchase them by visiting the main administrative office with cash and/or chq. OR you can send an email to accountant@sadcs.com with your contact information and how many vouchers you would like,  followed by an email money transfer, and a voucher package will be mailed out to you or made available for pick up.

2019 Pizza Kit Fundraising!

Thank you to everyone who made a purchase and helped us raise funds to go towards fall programming. Your orders for delicious and exciting Little Caesars products will be shipped directly to St. Albert Day Care Society, and will be available for you to pick up on August 27, 2019.

2019 Spring Raffle

Thank you to everyone who participated in selling and/or purchasing tickets for our Spring Raffle Basket draw. Fundraising: Who Needs It?

As parents who pay a monthly fee for service, you may wonder why you are required to fundraise. Fundraising supports daycare, out of school kindergarten and preschool.

  • It helps us buy new equipment, games, and toys.
  • It makes possible some of our field trips, family events and recreational activities
  • Without fundraising, we will not be eligible to apply for grants, to support upcoming major maintenance requirement; replacement of flooring, doors, etc. Funds raised can potentially be matched by granting bodies.
  • Fundraising demonstrates commitment and support of our mission to provide quality child care.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I make a charitable donation?

    Yes, all donations are welcome. A charitable donation receipt will be automatically issued for any donation greater than $25.00.

  • Can I designate my charitable donation to my child’s program?

    Yes, please indicate in writing if you wish to designate your donation to a specific purpose.

  • Should children go door to door to make sales?

    No, we do not encourage that; it is not safe for children to approach strangers. Parents can approach friends, neighbors, relatives, and co-workers and children can assist.

  • I have a wonderful fundraising idea. Who can I discuss it with?

    We welcome new ideas. Please let us know by contacting a Director. They will pass the idea on to the Fundraising Committee.

  • Can I join the Fundraising Committee?

    Yes, we welcome new members all year. Although we have a challenging task, the Fundraising Committee is a fun, positive thinking group of parents like yourself. Your involvement will be rewarding.
